The Japan Foundation in Yangon is set to host the “Narrow Sky” solo exhibition, a unique showcase that blends the traditional Japanese art of Kirigami with Myanmar’s own papercut techniques.
From October 2nd to 16th, visitors to the Japan Culture House can explore a diverse range of artistic expressions that merge these two intricate paper arts. Admission to the exhibition is free for all interested guests.
A special artist’s talk event is also scheduled. The creator of “Narrow Sky,” artist Phyo Thamein, will give an in-depth talk about the exhibition on October 4th from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Art enthusiasts who wish to attend can register online.
The exhibition will be open to the public from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM, running until October 16th. It will be closed on holidays.
