A new training course designed to streamline border trade procedures between Myanmar and Thailand has opened in Yangon. The five-day course, which began yesterday at the Export-Import Office, aims to facilitate smoother trade operations along the crucial Ranong-Kawthoung-Yangon route.
Deputy Minister for Commerce U Min Min stated that the program’s key goals are to ensure the accurate and speedy movement of goods, reduce illegal trade activities, and help traders overcome common business difficulties. He emphasized that the training will provide systematic instruction on conducting trade in full compliance with laws and regulations.
The curriculum will be taught by a combination of experts from the Ministry of Commerce, specialists from other trade-related ministries, and external professionals. A total of 56 trainees are attending the course, which will cover relevant laws, procedures, rules, and regulations.
