Local residents, security forces, and government officials are working together in Kyaukme, northern Shan State, to restore normal life and reopen essential services following recent operations.
Efforts are now focused on resuming governance and rehabilitation with the community. A group of 34 government staff from various departments has arrived to restart public services. Essential food supplies, including 1,000 sacks of rice and 1,000 visses of oil donated by the Shan State government, have been delivered to the town for distribution to locals. The aid also includes beans, salt, and family kits.
Temporarily displaced residents have begun returning to Kyaukme, where they are being welcomed and assisted by security personnel and officials. Joint clearing activities are also underway at key locations, including the local high school, the town hall, and the Myoma Market, to reopen them as quickly as possible. Ongoing security measures are in place to ensure stability and support the socio-economic well-being of the community.
