Security Forces Maintain Sanitation Operations in Kyaukme

Security forces have regained full control of Kyaukme Township in northern Shan State following recent counter-terrorism operations aimed at ensuring public safety and stability.

Reconstruction efforts are now underway in cooperation with local residents to restore normal administration and rebuild the town. To facilitate the reopening of schools and ensure safe living conditions for the community, mine clearance operations began on October 4th. These operations focus on removing explosives and mines allegedly planted by TNLA groups in public areas frequently used by civilians.

A temporary hospital has been established at the Labha Muni Chinese Temple, staffed by joint medical teams from the Ministry of Health and the military. The facility began providing healthcare services to residents starting yesterday.

Additionally, security personnel, government staff, and local volunteers conducted a joint cleaning initiative yesterday morning to support the town’s reconstruction. The efforts included clearing vegetation, digging drainage channels, and improving water flow around key entrance points to the town.

Security forces continue to maintain territorial control and perform administrative duties to ensure long-term peace and stability in the area.
