The National Unity Government (NUG)
In Monywa Township, Sagaing Region, four junta policemen were killed after their vehicle was attacked. The People’s Security Force reported that the officers were demanding money and valuables from the public at the time of the incident.
Comrades from Kawlin District Force (2) paid respects with gifts to the families of fallen colleagues in observance of the Thadingyut festival.
A new troop has been established by the Bago District Force under the KNU Brigade (1), operating within the Special Military Region of the People’s Defence Force.
The NUG’s Ministry of Judiciary Affairs presented its activities and action plan during the 39th regular coordination meeting of the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw on October 3.
The Ministry of Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Risks Management warned that the monsoon may strengthen over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal from October 6 to 10.
Revolution Activities
Actor Daung met with Myanmar football fans in Tokyo during a trip to Japan. A friendly match was held at MIFA Football Park on Saturday night.
Anti-junta election movements took place at prominent locations in Mandalay.
In Kyaukme Township, Shan State, junta soldiers killed three displaced family members and a monk near NarIk Kant Village. The Shan Human Rights Foundation reports a 16-year-old young woman was raped before being killed.
According to the Rangon Scout Network, more than 160 people were arbitrarily detained by the military junta in September, including critics of the upcoming election.
Revolution forces attacked an invading junta troop in Taungthar Township, Mandalay Region, reportedly causing casualties.
A local rally was held in Salingyi Township, Sagaing Region, with five Letbadaung villages protesting the junta’s election plans.
A local battle occurred near KoneTie Village in Mindone Township, Magway Region. Following heavy losses, junta soldiers were reported to have conscripted local youth and seized valuables from the public.
In Dasan, South Korea, a protest against the military coup was held alongside a cane-ball competition to raise funds for displaced people.
Ethnic Armed Organizations (EAOs)
The Ta’ang National Liberation Army reported that the junta army conducted an airstrike via fighter jet on Nammatu Myoma Market on Monday morning.
The New Mon State Party/ Anti-Dictatorship Rāmañña Mon Army completed their second batch of Close Quarters Battle Training in a liberated area.
The Military Council
Bullet Hla Swe, Chair of the Union Solidarity and Development Party for Naypyidaw, claimed on social media that the junta’s voter lists contain numerous faults, including names of the deceased and migrants.
The junta’s Chief Minister of Tanintharyi Region attended the Dawei Traditional Alms-Bowls Floating Festival despite reports of gunfire in the area.
At the 47th ASEAN Ministers on Agriculture and Forestry Meeting in the Philippines, the junta’s Minister for Agriculture discussed the completion of a Biosafety Level-3 animal disease diagnostic laboratory in Naypyidaw.
The junta’s Minister of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations met with officials in Minsk, Belarus, to discuss potential cooperation opportunities between the two countries.
