Acting President and Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission Senior General Min Aung Hlaing attended an honorary dinner last evening to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Mandalay University. The event was held at the university’s Convocation Hall.
The Senior General was joined by his wife, Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, along with high-ranking military officials, union ministers, the Mandalay Region chief minister, scholars, faculty members, and alumni.
During the evening, students and alumni from several local universities and colleges, including the National University of Arts and Culture in Mandalay, performed a series of songs and dances.
Following the dinner, the Acting President and his wife presented a flower basket and cash awards to the performers in recognition of their contributions to the celebration. They also enjoyed a performance by the Myoma Band and presented them with a flower basket and cash awards.
