China and Myanmar Strengthen Border Peace and Stability

A high-level Myanmar delegation led by Acting President Senior General Min Aung Hlaing made a stopover in Kunming, China, on September 30th, following a working visit to Kazakhstan.

During the stop at Kunming Airport, the Senior General held talks with Mr. Hu Dapeng, a senior official from China’s Yunnan Province. The two sides discussed strengthening the long-standing friendly relations between the two neighboring countries.

The talks focused on enhancing cooperation to ensure peace and stability along the shared China-Myanmar border. They also reviewed ongoing collaborative efforts to combat cross-border crimes.

A key point of discussion was the China-Myanmar Economic Corridor. Both sides agreed to expedite work to ensure the successful and timely implementation of all projects and agreements under the corridor initiative. Further plans to promote trade and relations between Myanmar and China’s Yunnan Province were also explored.
