Deputy Minister for Information U Ye Tint met with the National Literary Award for Lifetime Achievement Selection Committee yesterday morning in Yangon. The meeting, held at the Printing and Publishing Department, focused on coordinating the selection process for the prestigious award and preparing for the upcoming award ceremony.
Later in the day, the Deputy Minister visited the construction site of the new three-storey Sarso Beikman building and the renovation of the Sarpay Beikman Library. He stressed the importance of completing the high-quality project on schedule and instructed officials to simultaneously prepare for furnishing and exhibition setups.
His schedule also included a visit to the historic Wazira Cinema. There, he discussed plans with company representatives to restore the cinema to international standards while carefully preserving its heritage value, urging for the expedited submission of necessary measures.
