In an effort to ease the burden of high fuel costs for the public, the Ministry of Energy is making domestically produced petrol available at affordable prices.
Starting October 1st, locally produced RON 77 petrol will be sold for K2,245 per litre at Filling Station 0354 in Nay Pyi Taw. This follows the successful resumption of operations at the No. 1 Liquefied Petroleum Gas Plant in Minbu, which had been temporarily closed for repairs.
This new supply of RON 77 petrol complements the existing distribution of RON 68 petrol, which has been available since January at K2,200 per litre. The initiative is part of a broader government push to ensure the nation’s natural resources directly benefit its people by providing more accessible fuel options.
