The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Myanmar is set to host its first-ever Korean reading contest, which will also serve as the 21st Korean speaking contest.
The competition will begin with an online preliminary round. Contestants are invited to submit a one-minute video of themselves reading a piece of Korean literature—such as a poem, short story, or essay—on a topic that is meaningful to them.
Selected participants will then move on to an in-person final round, which will be broadcast live. The embassy encourages all fans of Korean literature to take part and help create a memorable event, adding that it looks forward to widespread interest.
